Video 2nd graders talking about food!

Good morning families!

The Initial Cycle (1st and 2nd graders) they were doing a project about food during the 1st term. They started the term with the storytelling of the very hungry caterpillar, they read the story, and then we were doing activities to learn more about food! They were working on how to write the words, how to pronounce them, and they also were starting to be conscious of which food is better for their health and which is not that good!

The past week, they enjoyed the final product that was creating a video in their homes talking about the food they have in their kitchen! 😊 we were watching the videos during the week in the English classes, and they were so happy to share them with their classmates.

It was a pleasure for me, being your English teacher, to see how you have improved your English structures - grammar (It is, There is, There are), how you present yourself, how you start and finish your videos! The best thing from this project was seeing you so motivated!

practicing the wh-questions

 Good morning families! One of the content we learnt during the second term with the 6th graders is the WH-questions . They were practicing some of them (what, when, where, how often, why). Here you have the final video to watch it. Take a look, they've improved it! 😊 We also added some pictures from an activity we did about biographies of female artists, taking advantage of the women's day (8M), and the topic of the school (the art). You also can see some pictures from a running dictation we did weeks ago in a sharing to learn session.

Superior Cycle (Sharing to Learn)

Hello family and friends from Pompeu Fabra! How has the year started? 😊 From January, at school, we have been joining lots of new projects, and specially, today we will talk about the Sharing to Learn in Superior Cycle. This term, we have introduced the idea of the " English corners " in which students can practice their language skills at the same time than having a proper time to speak with their Language Assistants.  On the one hand, the 6th graders, they have improved the skills doing the Basic Competence exams (reading and writing) in some of these corners, they have started to learn the WH-questions and the jobs and professions vocabulary. WE ARE JOURNALISTS!

  Hello families from Pompeu Fabra! We are excited to explain you what we have done during the English classes the last weeks. The 5th graders, we recorded some videos explaining which free time activities we like doing. We have been working around the topic "we are journalists", so we have asked our classmates the questions. It was much fun. Firstly, we learnt the vocabulary (actions and verbs), and then, we studied the Present Simple and Continuous to be able to ask the questions.
