Fashion revolution - last project of 6th grade

Imagen
Good morning families! The last 24th April, we celebrated the day of the fashion revolution. The 6th graders, they made a project in English talking about the alternatives from fashion nowadays to make it more sustainable for the environment.  The students investigated where the clothes are made, which fabrics they used, how they transport them, how much money the companies make and pay to their workers, and how much pollution the world can have regarding to the actual situation. After the investigation, they watched the documentary in Netflix of "buy now", and we did a debate in the class. The final product was creating some videos with the hashtag of "fashion revolution: who made your clothes?", talking about everything they learnt about the topic. Here you have some pictures to have a look what they did and how much they learnt! Keep tuned for more projects in September, next course 2025-2026.  Have a nice summer! Enjoy it 😎

We are biologists!

Hello families and friends! Before Easter, the second graders started a project called "we are biologists". We went to the CRARC for  an excursion where we learnt many things about the amphibians and reptiles, and taking advantage from it, we start to learn things about the animals in the English classes.  We learnt the different types of animals (amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, fish), we saw the differences between vertebrates and invertebrates. We've seen what the animals eat (omnivores, herbivores, carnivores...), where they live (under the sea, in the sky, in the land...) and we learnt many other things from the book stories! 😊 We really like the topic, and now we are more experts! Here you have some pictures from us doing some English corners in the class. We did an speaking corner to play some games about animal sounds, we had writing and reading corner (riddles and alphabet), and we had a listening one to learn some grammar (there is/there are).

Good morning families! One of the content we learnt during the second term with the 6th graders is the WH-questions . They were practicing some of them (what, when, where, how often, why). Here you have the final video to watch it. Take a look, they've improved it! 😊 We also added some pictures from an activity we did about biographies of female artists, taking advantage of the women's day (8M), and the topic of the school (the art). You also can see some pictures from a running dictation we did weeks ago in a sharing to learn session.

WE ARE JOURNALISTS!

Hello families from Pompeu Fabra! We are excited to explain you what we have done during the English classes the last weeks. The 5th graders, we recorded some videos explaining which free time activities we like doing. We have been working around the topic "we are journalists", so we have asked our classmates the questions. It was much fun. Firstly, we learnt the vocabulary (actions and verbs), and then, we studied the Present Simple and Continuous to be able to ask the questions. Here you have some pictures from us the last days, and you also have the final video .

Where is the teddy bear? It's in the bag!

What is it? It's a ball!  Where is it? It's under the table! During this second term, the first graders were talking about toys! we took into account that during Christmas, they had many presents... and we started January talking about it. The final product was creating a video at home talking about their favorite toys. They also learnt the prepositions (on, in, under, in front of, behind), so they created a video in which they showed us their toys and where they were at home.
